AlgoMathKids (the "Platform") is a digital education platform operated by TODO: Şirket Ticaret Unvanı A.Ş./Ltd. Şti., providing online education in mathematics, algorithmic thinking, coding and robotics to children aged 6-12. This Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice has been prepared under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") to explain the purposes for which your personal data is processed, the parties to whom it may be transferred, and the rights you hold.

As our Platform serves children, we apply special care to the protection of children’s data. Accounts for users under the age of 18 may only be created and used with the explicit consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent/guardian is deemed to have consented to the processing of the child’s personal data as described in this notice.

1. 1. Data Controller

Under the KVKK, your personal data is processed by the following organization acting as the data controller:

2. 2. Personal Data Processed

Depending on the nature of the service and your use of the Platform, your personal data may be processed in the following categories:

Identity Information: The student’s full name and age/date of birth; the parent/guardian’s full name.
Contact Information: E-mail address, telephone number, address (for billing or communication purposes).
Student and Parent Information: Grade/level, course and homework records, progress status, achievement/scoring data, and the content of messages exchanged with teachers.
Payment Information: Order and subscription details, billing information. Card details such as card number, expiry date and CVV are NOT STORED by the Platform; this information is transmitted directly to the secure infrastructure of the relevant bank/payment institution to complete the transaction.
Usage and Log Data: IP address, browser and device information, session logs, access times, and in-platform interaction and usage statistics.

3. 3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

Provision of the education service, delivery of lessons and homework, and tracking of student progress.
Creation and management of user accounts, authentication and authorization.
Execution of payment and subscription transactions and billing.
Communicating with users and parents, handling support requests and delivering notifications.
Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorized authorities.
Measuring and improving service quality and ensuring platform security.

4. 4. Legal Grounds for Processing

Your personal data is processed under Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK based on the following legal grounds:

Direct relevance to the conclusion or performance of a contract (fulfilment of the education and subscription agreement).
Compliance with a legal obligation (retention and reporting obligations arising from tax, commercial and consumer law).
The legitimate interests of the data controller (service security, prevention of fraud and service improvement).
Explicit consent: In particular, the processing of personal data belonging to students under the age of 18 is based on the explicit consent of the parent/legal guardian. Explicit consent may be withdrawn at any time.

5. 5. Transfer of Personal Data

To achieve the purposes set out above and within the scope of Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to the following parties to the extent necessary:

Payment institutions and banks: To securely carry out payment transactions.
E-mail, SMS and notification service providers: To communicate with users.
Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers: For the technical operation of the Platform.
Authorized public institutions and judicial authorities: Within the scope of legal obligations and requests.
Transfer abroad: Where the infrastructure of service providers is located abroad, your personal data may be transferred internationally under Article 9 of the KVKK, provided that the necessary conditions are met and, where required, your explicit consent is obtained.

6. 6. Retention Periods

Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the purposes of processing and for the minimum retention periods stipulated by applicable legislation (tax, commercial and consumer law, etc.).

When the purpose of processing ceases to exist and the legal retention periods expire, your personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

7. 7. Data Security

Appropriate technical and administrative measures are taken to prevent the unlawful processing of and access to your personal data and to ensure its secure storage.

Use of encryption methods in the transmission and storage of data.
Authorization and access control so that only authorized personnel can access the data.
Regular security audits, updates and maintenance of access logs.
Subjecting employees and service providers to confidentiality obligations.

8. 8. Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller you may exercise the following rights:

To learn whether your personal data is being processed.
To request information if your personal data has been processed.
To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose.
To know the third parties, domestic or abroad, to whom your personal data is transferred.
To request the correction of your personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately.
To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions set out in the KVKK and relevant legislation.
To request that correction, deletion and destruction operations be notified to third parties to whom the data has been transferred.
To object to a result against you arising from the analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems.
To request compensation for damages incurred due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.

9. 9. Application Method

To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may submit your requests to the e-mail address info@algomathkids.com or to the registered electronic mail address TODO: ornek@hs01.kep.tr. Your applications will be concluded free of charge within 30 (thirty) days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request; however, if the process requires an additional cost, the fee set out in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
